You’re not alone! Backbends are often referred to as heart openers and I don’t know about you but opening my heart isn’t always easy (figuratively & literally). Opening our hearts takes vulnerability. It takes practice. And it helps to learn some tips, for both the emotional & physical side of backbend practice.
Often I hear yoga teachers say “And now if wheel is in your practice, take it now” but often students have never had poses like this broken down.
